Declutter list: what could you raise?

Go room by room (tap a room to open it) and add the things you might sell, with a rough value for each. Then score them from 1 (definitely sell) to 5 (keep). The total shows how much you could raise, and you can slide it to include the maybes.

Add a value and a score to the things you might sell.

How to score your things

The slider starts by counting the 1s and 2s, so you can see what the things you're ready to part with would raise. Slide it right to add the “not sure” pile and see how much more it would bring.

Working out a value

Look up what the same item has actually sold for, not what people are asking. On eBay, search for it and tick Sold items under the filters. Be realistic: second-hand clothes, books and homeware often sell for a few pounds each, so the big totals usually come from furniture, tech, bikes and branded items.

When you're ready to sell something, tap Best 3 places next to it. You'll see the three platforms where you'd keep the most after fees, worked out with the same figures as the free calculator. For the full breakdown, open the calculator from there.

Questions people ask

Is the declutter list free?

Yes. There's nothing to sign up for.

Where is my list saved?

In your own browser, on the device you're using. It isn't sent anywhere, so it won't appear on your other devices. Clearing your browser's data deletes it. Use "Download as spreadsheet" to keep a copy.

Can I open the spreadsheet in Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. The download is a CSV file, which opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets.

What's usually worth selling?

Furniture, bikes, tech, games consoles, branded clothes and trainers, power tools and Lego usually sell well. Cheap fast fashion and worn items are often better donated.
